Social Media Challenge
Join us this week on our campaign to bring awareness to CTE pathways offered through Palestine High School, opportunities provided to our students through membership in SkillsUSA, important information regarding the skills gap and how Lowe's Home Improvement, SkillsUSA and CTE students across the country are working to plug the skills gap in America.
Palestine ISD CTE students entered a Social Media Challenge contest from the cool folks at SkillsUSA and Lowe's. We were selected as one of 5 finalists from across the United States to compete this week. With your help (and patience) we can win 25K to benefit Hope Station in Palestine, TX. This awesome group serves in our community as a transition center for families who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless.
We will be posting A LOT over the next 7 days... (As in 12-15 posts per day!). You may grow weary of our invasion of all the other important stuff in your feeds on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr and everywhere else! Just know that this is GOOD stuff.
We are asking that you read or watch, like and share our posts, and in turn ask your friends and family to do the same! We have a great week of posts planned for you covering the Skills Gap in America, all of the incredible things SkillsUSA does to cultivate a future workforce filled with knowledge and confidence, Lowe's Heroes, some funny stuff ... Inspiring stories… AND some live feeds via Periscope to give you a rare glimpse inside our PHS CTE classrooms!
We are so proud of our students and their willingness to serve. Thank you in advance for your help.
