Go Wildcats!!
I am proud to be a member of the Story Intermediate staff! Even more, I am excited to work with Story Intermediate students on a daily basis! I am passionate about my career and am more than happy to assist our students, parents and staff members. My husband will also be a coach and teacher for Palestine ISD. Together we have four boys and feel excited about bringing our family to Palestine, TX. Throughout the year, I will help students explore many topics including self-esteem, conflict resolution, bullying, goal setting, character traits, drug/alcohol awareness, test anxiety/test taking strategies, college and career readiness, in addition to, many pressing issues. This is done in individual counseling, group counseling and in monthly classroom guidance lessons. Before moving to Palestine, I taught 2nd grade for five years in Killeen, TX., 4th grade Math and Science in Lampasas, TX., Reading Specialist K-8th grade in Brookesmith, TX., and Special Education in Brackettville, TX. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies, as well as Education from Texas Tech University and obtained a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Angelo State University. This will be my tenth year in education and I am looking forward to many more!
