Greetings! I am excited to be a member of the Story Intermediate Staff. Even more, I am excited to work with Story students on a daily basis! I am passionate about my career and am more than happy to assist our students, parents and staff members. Throughout the year, I help students explore many topics including self-esteem, conflict resolution, bullying, goal setting, drug/alcohol awareness, test anxiety/test taking strategies, college and career readiness, in addition to, many pressing issues. This is done in individual counseling, group counseling and in our Social Skills class. Before moving to Palestine I worked as a 2nd grade teacher, I also worked as a 4th grade math and Science teacher, Reading Instructional Coach, Reading Specialist, and a Special Education Case Manager. This is my second year as counselor at Story Intermediate. My husband also works for Palestine ISD. He is a coach at the high school. Together we have four boys who also attend Palestine ISD. I look forward to meeting and getting to know each and every one of you!
