Southside Mission Statement
At Southside Elementary our mission is to inspire, encourage, and equip students for a successful future. We will teach all children to draw on their strengths. We will teach them to be responsible and accountable through goal setting and tracking progress. We will connect with parents and the community to foster a lifelong love for learning.
School Supply List:
2nd and 3rd Grade
1 plastic school box
4 assorted solid colors of spiral notebooks, wide ruled 70 count (no decorative)
4 plastic folders-solid colors (red, blue, yellow, green) with pockets and brads
1 composition notebook
2-packs of wide ruled notebook paper
1 pair of scissors
2 boxes of 24 count crayons
8 glue sticks
5 packs of 3x3 Post it Sticky notes
1-1.5 inch 3 ring binder (black or white)
1-pack of 5 tab dividers
1 package of Expo dry erase markers -4 count-(optional)
District will provide the following:
Antibacterial hand wipes
Quart and gallon size Ziploc bags
Oct. 19- Progress Reports - Home
Oct. 19-23- Homecoming Week
Monday (10/19): “Mixed Up Monday” - mix and match to confuse the Hornets
Tuesday (10/20): “Team Up Tuesday” - wear your favorite team jersey and team up to beat the Hornets
Wednesday (10/21): “Western Wednesday” - giddy up and rope the Hornets
Thursday (10/22): “Thankful Thursday” - be thankful to be a WILDCAT and show your team spirit
Oct.26-29- Red Ribbon Week
Monday (10/26): “Get RED of drugs” - wear red
Tuesday (10/27): “Be drug free HEAD to TOE” - wear crazy hair and/or crazy socks
Wednesday (10/28): “We are TOO BRIGHT for drugs” - wear neon colors and sunglasses
Thursday (10/29): “Have GOOD CHARACTER, say no to drugs” - wear storybook character costumes
No scary or gory costumes and no masks or weapons. They will not be allowed and we will ask students to remove them and they will be kept in the office.

Notice of Public Meeting
Southside Elementary: School Improvement Process
Notice is hereby given that a public meeting will be held through Zoom on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, starting at 6pm.
You can find the link to the zoom in the announcements in Seesaw or on the written notice sent home with students on Monday, September 21, 2020.
