Southside Mission Statement
At Southside Elementary our mission is to inspire, encourage, and equip students for a successful future. We will teach all children to draw on their strengths. We will teach them to be responsible and accountable through goal setting and tracking progress. We will connect with parents and the community to foster a lifelong love for learning.

Gifted and Talented Nominations Grades 1st through 12th
Anyone interested in nominating a PISD student who is currently in Grades 1st through 12th to be screened, tested and considered for this program should complete a “Gifted/Talented Program Nomination Survey” form. Forms are available in the campus counselor’s office. Nominations will be accepted from September 3, 2019-September 21, 2019. All nomination forms should be turned into the counselor’s office. Questions should be directed to the campus counselor.

School Wide Behavior Plan:
Conduct Grades will be determined based on the number of CALENDAR marks during the six-week grading period. Use the following guide:
0-2 changes Excellent (E)
3-5- changes Satisfactory (S)
6-8 changes Needs Improvement (N)
9 or more changes Unsatisfactory (U)
