THE COUNSELOR'S CAMP

Hello/Buenos Dias Northside Family!

It is my honor to be your Northside counselor.  This is my tenth year to work with NS students and staff.  With 34 years spent in education, as a science teacher and counselor, there are many experiences to draw from.

Each day is a whirlwind of diverse activities, assuring that there is never a dull moment...it is fulfilling to know that I could be of help.  From the first bell until the last bus run, the day is packed: assisting students, teachers and parents with needs/concerns (educational, social, emotional, personal, etc); coordinating with others to ensure that students receive special program services or community resources as necessary; assessing students for the Gifted/Talented program, LAUNCH program or language proficiency for the bilingual/ESL program; coordinating with various sources to present programs that support our efforts to teach students responsibility, self-esteem, being a friend, drug-free and anti-bullying information, etc.
