The Library Media Center is now open! You may come during lunch, before or after school to check out books. If you come during a class period, you must bring a note from your teacher.
No food or drink is permitted in the Media Center or Computer Lab.
Guidelines for Checkouts
Books (Limit 3 - not including teacher assigned reading) - 2 weeks
Teacher Assigned Reading (ELA, SS, etc.) - 45 days (or until assignment is complete)
eBooks and audiobooks - up to 2 weeks
Lost/Damaged Book or Material Policy
Students are required to pay for or replace any book or library material that has been checked out in their name and lost or damaged beyond repair. Mrs. Harding will provide a replacement cost. The replacement must be similar to the lost/damaged copy (ex. hardcover, paperback, etc.).
Donation Policy
Staff, parents, and students are encouraged to donate books in honor of or in memory of a friend, teacher, family member, alumni, or colleague. A donor book plate will be placed in the front of the book to commemorate the gift. Please call, email, or visit Mrs. Harding to discuss possible titles, options or for more information.
Also, gently used books may be donated to the PHS Media Center, depending on the age and condition. If it is determined to not be suitable or relevant for high school students, it will then be donated to the Friends of the Palestine Public Library for their fundraiser book sales.
