Immunization Requirements:
Parents of 6th Grade Students: It is time to get your child immunized for 7th grade. Three additional shots are required for students entering 7th grade. Your child must show proof of one dose of MCV4, a TDAP booster within the last five years, and a second dose of VARICELLA if your child received the vaccine and has not had the chicken pox. If your child has had the chicken pox, please provide proof to the school. Parents are encouraged to get these immunizations done AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to avoid lengthy wait times at doctor's offices and clinics. If you wait too long, there could be a shortage of the vaccine, or you might be unable to get in to see a doctor or visit a clinic. Timely immunizations can also help to avoid unexcused absences. The Department of State Health Services gives immunizations by appointment only.
